The earth can provide for everyone, however we must choose her as she as chosen us… and work together each day until we can recognize our hearts beat as one.

It is simpler than it seems.

It begins with stoking the fires within our hearts to protect both her and ourselves from the suffering that will ensue if we don’t manage our resources in a more intelligent way. We do this by continually holding strong to our visions of a better world and taking divinely inspired action.

We do this not only for ourselves, but for our children.  Our children’s children.  And seven generations down the line. We want these future beings to be able to witness the magic we see on a daily basis. To hear the songs of the winged ones. To see the radiant color palette of a rich collection of flora.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Right now, the necessity is more nourishing food, cleaner air, more pristine waters, healthier bodies, healthier minds, and healthier communities.

Right now, the necessity is to pause the momentum that we are seeing in the direction of intense environmental disassociation and the issues that arise from the disconnection. . . widespread hunger and malnutrition . . . sea level rise . . . disastrous drought and floods . . . decreased access to clean water . . . mass displacement . . . increased conflict over natural resources . . . insect outbreaks . . . wildfires . . . and the list goes on.

When we stop to think about what inventions need to be created to remedy our issues, we can come to realize nature has already crafted many of them.

Plants for rich nutrition and medicine.

Fungi and microbes to help clean polluted soil and waters.

Trees and bamboo to sequester massive amounts of carbon.

We exist in a beautiful time, ripe with solutions at our fingertips. We have an incredibly rich archive of knowledge and wisdom to glean from, as well as ample tools and resources to make anything we desire happen.  What needs to occur is a shift in our perspective of what CAN happen — what is possible — and why we want it.

How and why do we want to benefit the Earth, its inhabitants, and ourselves in the long term?

It is ever-important that we continue to encourage each other to ask empowering questions and offer empowering solutions; as well as encourage each other to liberate ourselves from the doubting mind. It is time to release any complacency and fear and recharge our dynamic spirits with the understanding that we absolutely can and will change this world for the better.

We can shift into the higher possibility of lovingly taking care of everyone at fundamental base levels with clean food, clean air, clean water, less pollution, and less chemicals.

If we can create the foundation for these needs to be met for ourselves, our children, our species… in ways that make sense ecologically, we can truly thrive together on this precious planet.

A Precious Human Life”

Everyday, think as you wake up:
“Today I am fortunate to have woken up.
I am alive.  I have a precious human life.
I am not going to waste it.
I am going to use all my energies to develop myself,
to expand my heart out to others,
to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.

I am going to have kind thoughts toward others.
I am not going to get angry,
or think badly about others.
I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”
— His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
